Shadi Pezeshki practices teaching yoga from the heart in a warm and inviting way. Each day, coming to her own mat gives her the opportunity to be in touch with her own body, awaken her spiritual connection, and remain open to all possibilities. Through Yoga, she creates the same environment for her students through mindfulness, intention, and awareness. She believes that “Yoga is not a work-out, it’s a work-in.”

At the age of 41, Shadi has been known for her amazing youthful demeanor and her high levels of energy. She proudly credits this to the years of practicing yoga, eating healthy, anti-aging techniques, and chakra body cleansing.

With over eight years experience, Shadi’s practice has been inspired by the teachings of her mentors: Paramahansa Yogananda, Boraj, Pattabhi Jois, and Raghunath Cappo utilizing some of the most effective techniques such as Five Tibetan Rites, Ashtanga, Kriya and Kundelini Yoga. She teaches group classes, private one-on-one lessons, and a variety of workshops, focusing on creating an overall feeling of peacefulness in body, mind and spirit.

Shadi’s favorite pose is Sirsasana (Headstand). In this position the world is literally turned upside down, and we are afforded the opportunity to view the world from a different perspective. Inversions re-circulate blood through the body, revitalizing and rejuvenating, while increasing concentration and enhancing the overall function of the vital organs.
